" ORANGE FRENCH TOAST "
Serve this warm with a sweet spread or with fresh fruit. (Remember to add the nutritive values and exchanges)

Ingredients.....

2 medium eggs, beaten very lightly
1/3 cup of unsweetened orange juice or the juice of 1 medium orange
1/2 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
1 teaspoon of grated orange rind (optional)
4 slices of bread (day old bread is better than fresh)
2 teaspoons of margarine

Mix together the eggs, orange juice, vanilla, and the orange rind; pour this into a pie plate.

Dip each slice of bread into the misture until all the liquid is absorbed into the bread slices.

Heat the margarine in a large frying pan over medium heat and light brown the bread on both sides.

Makes 2 servings
One serving = 2 slices of toast
One serving = 2 starch & 1 fat
