" LAYERED DRY COOKIE MIX "
This recipe when presented in a canning jar is almost too pretty for the recipient to eat. Make sure they do!

Ingredients.....

1 & a 1/2 cup of graham cracker crumbs
6 oz. of semisweet chocolate morsels
6 oz. of butterscotch morsels
1 cup of coconut
1/2 cup of walnuts or pecans
Quart size canning jar

Layer ingredients in a quart sized canning jar in the following order:
Walnuts or pecans Butterscotch morsels
Semisweet chocolate morsels
Coconut
Graham cracker crumbs.

Instructions to attach to jar:

Melt 1/2 cup of butter. Add the top layer of graham cracker crumbs. Pat evenly in bottom of an ungreased 13x9x2 inch baking pan. Sprinkle the remaining layered ingredients into the crumb mixture and spread even with spoon. Pour a 14 oz. can of sweetened condensed milk evenly over all. Bake in 350 degree F oven for 30 minutes; cool. Cut into bars. Makes about 36 bars.

Extra Ideas for this recipe:
Jar Cover: After you fill the jar add the lid and ring and close it tightly. Cut a circle of holiday fabric (if doing this during the holidays) with pinking sheers (if you have a pair) and place it over the cap, secure it with a rubber band. Attach the instructions.

To attach instructions:
Punch a hole in the corner of paper with a decorative punch, and using ribbon, or twine, tie around the lid hiding the rubber band. You can also attach a wooden spoon to the jar making this the perfect gift. You could even make it a 'gift package' by taking a 13x9 pan, draping a pretty holiday towel inside, and adding the mix, the can of condensed milk, and even a package of hot chocolate or gourmet coffee that you made.
