This delicious dressing is fat free and will not use up your fat exhanges. Try it as a marinade for flank steak before grilling.


1/2 teaspoon of granulated gelatin
1 tablespoon of cold water
1/4 cup of boiling water
1/2 teaspoon of salt
1/2 cup of tomato juice
1/4 cup of white vinegar
1/8 teaspoon of garlic powder or 1 clove of fresh garlic, crushed
Dash of freshly ground pepper
1/4 teaspoon of dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon of Worcestershire sauce
Sugar substitute equivalent to one (1) tablespoon of sugar

Soften the gelatin in the cold water.

Add boiling water; stir until it's dissolved.

Turn into a pint jar with all the remaining ingredients in it.

Cover tightly; shake thoroughly.

Chill for a few hours before serving.

Stir occasionally to prevent gelling at the bottom. Shake gently before using.

Makes 8 - 16 servings (yield: 1 cup)
One serving = 1-2 tablespoons
One serving = up to 1/4 cup may be considered 'free'
