Ingredients.....

2 & a 1/4 cups of sugar
2/3 cup of cocoa (clean inside of jar with paper towel after this layer)
3/4 cup of chopped pecans
1 & a 1/4 cups of flour mixed with 1 teaspoon of salt

Layer the ingredients in a jar in the order given above. Press each layer firmly in place before adding next ingredient.

Empty the brownie mix into a large mixing bowl; stir to combine. Add 3/4 cup of melted butter and 4 eggs slightly beaten; mix until completely blended. Spread the batter in a greased 9x13-inch baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes. Cool completely in pan. Cut into 2-inch squares. Yield: 2 dozen.
