It can't get much easier than this and it's delicious as well.
Ingredients.....
ACORN SQUASH
a small amount of sunflower or canola oil
salt & pepper to taste if wanted
pastry brush to brush on oil
Preheat your oven to 350 degrees F.
Get a large knife (a chef's knife) and a hammer. Yes, you'll need a hammer to hit the knife with to cut the raw acorn squash.
Be really careful and cut the acorn squash into rounds. You'll get 5 or 6 out of one nice size squash. If you have an electric meat slicer then do the acorn squash on it. It's much easier that way.
Once the squash is cut, lay it out on a cookie sheet: Then brush the squash on both sides (lightly!) with the sunflower or canola oil.

Put the cookie sheet in the oven at 350 degree's F and cook for 45 minutes. Since the squash is cut up it won't take all that long to cook.
After about 25 minutes take out the squash and flip it over to brown on the other side. This is how it will look when you flip it over. Nicely browned and glazed.

Once flipped over, put it back in the oven and continue to let it cook until the total of 45 minutes is up.
